    Want a free bike?

Apparently all you need to do is take one from a showroom while not wearing a helmet

BBC News - No helmet motorbike theft suspect killed in Manchester

While I can understand that an accident on a motorbike runs a higher risk of injury than one in a car I don't think I'd be too impressed watching the police just standby while some scroat took my pride and joy just because he didn't live by ATGATT.

Still I simpathise with the family of this dipstick as he appears to have had a bit of divine justice handed out while taking another bike without a helmet.

    Re: Want a free bike?

Just been on to Manchester Police.

They confirmed it is national guidance. They said:
Officers investigating the theft of motorbikes from an Altrincham showroom have made two arrests.

Two men aged 26 and 24 were arrested on Friday 13 August 2010 on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and have been released on bail pending further inquiries until 10 September 2010.

Shortly before 3am on Thursday 12 August 2010, police were called to the corner of Woodfield Road and Manchester Road following reports of a break-in.

Officers attended and found that a motorbike showroom had been broken into and three motorbikes had been stolen.

One of the machines has been recovered.
Will keep you posted if I get more.

I have no sympathy for him, he knew the risks he was taking when he broke in and twoced the bike. I dont see why the police should hold back, its not there fault if he crashes.

Problem is with the no blame sue everyone else for your own stupidity society we now live in if they did chase after him and he fell off due to the chaise the Police would probably be charged with causing death by dangerous driveing and sued by the blokes parents I expect even though the prat nicked the bike in the first place.

One o the best Craig! A good memory from TLD was seeing him sitting grinning contentedly on his bike, stand down, at Holyhead docks. I asked him if he wanted to go in to get a cup of tea. He replied cheerfully; "Oh don't worry about me. I'm happy here. And I'm too fat to get off!"

Most showrooms have vary large windows so I shouldn't have a problem. It's sneaking out of the loo window in hostilleries while trying to avoid the bill I find a challenge these days .....
